Online Sushi and Wine Tasting
Love sushi? Love wine? Join us for an online tasting!
Every Thursday night, The Commercial Appeal’s (Memphis, TN)food editor, Jennifer Biggs, hosts a virtual wine tasting on her blog. Each week, a wine is selected and a local chef and/or wine expert logs into a live blog feature to talk food and wine.
This Thursday, October 30, I will be logging in to taste and discuss Roogle Riesling 2007 and how it pairs with sushi. Want to join us? Here’s how it works:
1. Pick up a bottle of Roogle Riesling 2007 from your favorite wine store.
2. Make some of your favorite sushi or check out some of my suggestions. If time doesn’t permit, stop by your favorite sushi bar and pick up an order to go.
3. At 7:00 pm Central Time, join us at www.whiningdining.com and chat live.
Marquis Phillips Roogle Riesling 2007
Origin: Western Australia
Tasting notes: The 2007 Riesling is light straw-colored with a lovely perfume of mineral, spring flowers, and honeysuckle with a hint of tropical fruits in the background. Just off-dry (10 grams residual sugar), round, and intensely flavored, this is very sexy Riesling at a great price. –
Hope you’ll join us!
